California OKs new initiatives and funding to stop the hate

The State of California this week announced several projects to stop the hate including $91 million in funding for prevention, intervention and direct services.

Other initiatives will feature a multilingual campaign to promote its California vs Hate hotline and a webinar open to the public about mental health.

The funds allocated will go to serve marginalized communities in California with millions of dollars to the AAPI community.

Also on Friday, August 25 at 12:30 Pacific Time, the California Commission on the State of Hate will host a community webinar to address the mental health impact of hate on marginalized communities.

That includes racial minorities, foster youth, and the LGBT community, as well as resource information provided by organizations serving persons with disabilities and mental illness.
