California OKs new initiatives and funding to stop the hate

The State of California this week announced several projects to stop the hate including $91 million in funding for prevention, intervention and direct services.
Other initiatives will feature a multilingual campaign to promote its California vs Hate hotline and a webinar open to the public about mental health.
The funds allocated will go to serve marginalized communities in California with millions of dollars to the AAPI community.
Funded groups include:
- The Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center
- Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach
- Asian Americans for Civil Rights & Equality
- Korean Community Center of the East Bay
- South Asian Network
- Jakara Movement
- Oakland LGBTQ Community Center
- Pacific Pride Foundation
- Little Saigon San Diego
- Cambodian town Inc
- Filipino Migrant Center
- API Reentry through Inclusion Support & Empowerment
- Khmer Girls in Action
Also on Friday, August 25 at 12:30 Pacific Time, the California Commission on the State of Hate will host a community webinar to address the mental health impact of hate on marginalized communities.
